When you hear of cancer, what comes to mind? Everyone knows that cancer is one of the deadliest diseases around. To make things worse, there is currently no sure cure for this deadly disease. Cancer usually begins when the cells in the body grow out of control. Cancer can grow in any part of the body, which then spreads to other parts, making it one of the most feared diseases today.

People with cancer or those that have loved ones with cancer are the ones that really know how devastating it can be. Apart from the obvious threat to life, it also affects the mental health of the patients and people around them. It has shown to be a big cause of depression.

Most times, we do not know why the things that happen to us happen. The more religious ones trust God to take control of everything. Bella Muntean is a passionate, strong high school student whose faith has been a source of inspiration to people around the globe. Bella was a student at Riverside High School located which is located in South Carolina. In January of 2017, she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma.

Osteosarcoma is the most popular form of cancer that starts its growth in the human bones. The cancer cells always look a lot like bone cells which helps in the growth of bone tissues. The tissue that has osteosarcoma will not be close to normal bones in terms of strength. This form of cancer is more common among young adults and children.
Bella’s doctors gave her a slim 20 percent chance of surviving through cancer but she refused to believe them and simply said “No”. She had the belief that she will be able to survive the ordeal no matter how low her chances are or how difficult it gets. She had come so far and she was not ready to quit.

Since she was diagnosed with cancer, Bella had spent a great amount of time getting her treatment in the hospital. She was able to go back to school after she underwent a surgical operation to remove a bone and a tumor in her leg. Bella has always been a lover of music and she was able to pursue her interest immediately she got back to school.

Not long after she resumed school did things start to go bad again. She posted on her social media account that she started to bleed internally after coughing up a piece of her bronchial tube. She had to go back to the hospital where she was told that her condition had gotten worse and the treatment she was getting was not effective anymore.

Bella showed a lot of sadness when she announced that she was going to hospice for treatment while still keeping her trust and faith in God. She proclaimed that it was not the end and that she knows that God had something in stock for her. She believed that she was going to be healed because she knows that God is a performer of miracles.

She announced that she was going to live every second of her life to the fullest as she waited of God. She then ended it by asking everyone reading her post to pray for her recovery as she battles with cancer.
