National Pizza Chain Posts Controversial Note On Front Door, Refuses To Take It Down

No matter how rich a country is, it will still have its own population of poor, destitute and underprivileged. Homelessness is one of the many problems even mega cities everywhere face and the United States is not free from the scourge too.

Even in a booming economy, there will still remain a number of people who do not have any substantial means of livelihood and therefore cannot afford food to eat or even a roof over their head.

Most people usually walk past these homeless people every day without doing anything to help them. At most, the best most of them usually get is usually few coins and they usually don’t get enough and have to rifle through the dumpster to get what they can.

However, rather than simply watch on or ignore, workers of a little Creaser’s Pizza restaurant decided to do something highly remarkable for a homeless man who was always rummaging through their garbage once they locked up. While some callous soul could have sent the man off their property, these people did not do anything like that instead they offered him something incredible.

The homeless man who has been visiting the restaurant’s garbage for a long time over the years usually comes when he thinks no one is looking. He would rifle through the garbage can for a while and try to salvage any food scrap in the bin that was still worth eating.

The staff of the restaurant had tried unsuccessfully to make direct contact with him, but each time they tried, how would run off shamefaced before they could be able to tell him anything.

At loss at what to do and desperate to help the homeless fellow that was always rummaging through their garbage bin, they devised a plan to get through to him. After months of failed attempt to talk to the man, their ingenious plan was to post a note in the window with a message for him.

That way the next time the man came around, they would be able to communicate with him successfully without having to see him physically. The note they pasted on the window read:

“To the person going through our trash for their next meal, you’re a human being and worth more than a meal from the dumpster. Please come in during operating hours for a couple of slices of hot pizza and a cup of water at no charge. No questions asked.”

What a remarkable gesture from the restaurant staff, although they were not obligated to give the man anything, they felt in their kindness that he deserved more than just leftover scraps from the garbage. With this lovely gesture, the man could now enter and eat a decent meal from the restaurant if he chooses to.

Interestingly, this little Caesars restaurant’s gesture towards this homeless man isn’t their first remarkable act of selflessness and love. The restaurant has a long record of acts of kindness and feeding the needy.

On a daily basis after each day’s work, they gather the leftover pies and take them to local homeless shelters. This way, instead of throwing away food which was worthless to them, they gave it out to people who needed it and would find it absolutely priceless. Their act of kindness is helping to feed countless of hungry mouth all over the town.

It is something to be really proud of. We hope they keep up the good work and we also hope to see many other people emulate their kind gesture.
