Judge Lets Animal Abusers Get A Taste of Their Own Medicine

Everyone hates animal abusers. Even though animal abuse is already a crime where abusers can face jail time, many of them are not afraid. These types of people need to be taught a lesson that they would never forget for the rest of their lives.

This is why Judge Michael Cicconetti from Painesville, Ohio, felt that enough is enough. He got fed up with animal abusers that he decided to give them the punishment that they deserve. And this should act as a warning to others too. And because of his ‘creative’ judgment, Judge Michael has become famous.

The judge himself is an animal lover ever since he was young. He even had a dog named ‘Herman.’ He currently owns ‘Kasey,’ a Bernese mountain dog he considers his best friend. And as a dog lover, he also finds it difficult to understand why there are people who have the heart to hurt a dog.

As he was just starting out, he has dealt with multiple cases of animal abusers and neglect. Many of these cases were repeat offenders. Back then he would only give them jail time and a hefty fine. But after he realized that many of these abusers were repeat offenders, he knew that he had to do something.

Many of them have already been jailed and have paid a fine, but it seems like that didn’t stop them from mistreating the innocent animals. It seemed like these abusers know that even though no matter how many times they do this, it would not affect them in any way.

This is why Judge Cicconetti devised an appropriate sentence for these abusers. He felt that the weight of their punishment should be equal to the crime they committed. But of course, he ensured that the sentences he came up with still were in line with the law.

He felt that it should be time to teach these abusers a lesson about animal care. The judge was confident that this is the only way.

So aside from the conventional jail term and a hefty fine, the judge made these repeat animal abusers to be put in a situation where they had placed the animals.

For example, this woman who left her dog in a dirty room was also dumped somewhere similar to the dog’s living environment for eight consecutive hours. When it was time for the judge to convict the woman, he said:

“I want you to go down to the county dump, to the landfill, and I want them to find the stingiest, smelliest, God-awful odor place they can find in that dump, and I want you to sit there for eight hours tomorrow, to think about what you did to that dog while you shell the odor. If you puke, you puke.”

Another lady who dumped her kittens in the wood came across Judge Michael too. The Judge also made her stay in the woods for the entire night in addition to a jail term and heavy fine.

No matter if his intentions were for the betterment of the future of these animals, there are those who will still criticize. Some people feel that the punishment that the judge is giving is just too much. But of course, many support Judge Michael’s courses of action.
