Breakfast Just Got a Whole Lot Sweeter With This Birthday Cake French Toast Recipe!

Everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal today. Think about it, breakfast is the time when pancakes, bacon, cinnamon rolls, sausage, eggs and waffles take center stage. Is there anything better? But let’s all agree, French Toast is the champion of brunch. Nothing says the weekend like devouring what should be a dessert.
There are numerous French Toast recipes out there, but this one has an amazing twist. It contains funfetti cake mix– our favorite! It is not just good, it is sinfully delicious.
To make this fantastic treat, you will need 6 slices challah bread, 1¼ cup dry funfetti cake mix, 4 large eggs, ½ cup whole milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, ⅓ cup almond milk, 1 can white frosting, melted, 1 tablespoon butter, and nonpareils.
In large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, milk, vanilla, almond milk, and cake mix. Stir the mixture until smooth. Next, dunk the slices of bread in the mixture and flip until it is entirely drenched.
Place butter in the skillet over medium heat, and then add one slice of bread at a time. Let it cook for 3 minutes, and flip to the other side so that it can be cooked thoroughly. You are looking for a slightly yellowish golden color.
Next, heat the frosting for 30 seconds in the microwave, and pour over the stack of toast. Top with sprinkles and serve.
