World’s Best Boss Treats His Hardworking Employees To A Trip To The Maldives

If you thought that  you had the best boss in the world, you have yet to meet the 100 employees who work for Evolve Mixed Martial Arts. Say all you want about the amazing holiday party that your boss throws every year or the generous $100 gift certificate you received to some of your city’s nicest restaurants and it will still pale in comparison to the mind-blowing, outrageously kind surprise that Chatri Sityodtong gives all of his employees every year.

Sure, an open-bar at a swanky club downtown is fun, but an open-bar that is apart of an all-inclusive package at a 5-star luxury hotel in an exotic location is even better and those lucky 100 employees can vouch for it.

This year’s unforgettable Evolve Mixed Martial Arts holiday party was in Maldives, a string of islands south of Sri Lanka.

Evolve Mixed Martial Arts founder and chairman Chatri Sityodtong states the company has seen a 30 percent year-on-year growth, and he wanted to thank his employees for their hard work and dedication. He splashed out a whopping $500,000 (392k GBP) to reward 100 employees with the five-star all-inclusive holiday to the paradise island. And this isn't the first time he has taken his workers for a treat. He calls the holidays a "normal part of Evolve culture" with the group enjoying previous holidays to luxurious destinations such as Bali, Krabi, Khao Lak and Bintan in Indonesia for the past five years. He said: "These rewards are a small token of my heartfelt gratitude to all of the phenomenal rockstars at Evolve MMA. "Every year, I take the entire team on an all-expenses-paid trip to a five-star luxury resort at a surprise destination." The company's support staff and world champion trainers joined members of Evolve's fight team, including ONE Women's Atomweight World Champion Angela Lee, on the expensive getaway. "Many of my staff would love to travel the world, but do not have the means to do so," he continued. "The vast majority of my team at Evolve come from humble backgrounds of poverty, tragedy, or adversity. For them, Evolve is the greatest opportunity to escape poverty and to achieve the life of their dreams. "The best deserve the best. It is only fair. We do our best to hire the best people in the world, giving out only one job offer for every 200 applicants. So they should be compensated as such. We work hard, and we play hard. "Evolve has the best team in the world. I am very confident in my team. I believe in them 100 percent." The entrepreneur said the holidays will continue for the foreseeable future but joked he has not yet planned 2017's spectacular just yet. He said: "The world is a big place! I don't know where our annual retreat will be held next year, but I hope to take them to another spectacular place."

This alone makes any company’s holiday party look like a complete a joke. Sityodtong spent £392,000, which is just over $492,000 to make this trip possible for his employees. The company grew by 30% this year and Sityodtong attributed the success to his hardworking employees.

One of the reasons that he enjoys surprising his staff with these once in a lifetime vacations is because he understands that many of them don’t have the means to travel as much as they’d like to. He said, “The vast majority of my team at Evolve come from humble backgrounds of poverty, tragedy or adversity.
