Is your significant other a sleep talker? Have you ever had a roommate who dream talks all night long? If so, then you’ll understand the impulse to share the bizarre things that come out of your favorite sleeper’s mouth in the dead of night.
One Wichita woman decided that her boyfriend’s late night chatting was so amusing that she started a twitter account dedicated to it.
She began writing down the things he said in his sleep and broadcasting them to the twitterverse. She named his sleeping alter ego Sir Lord Dick Pat. We really don’t want to know the origin of that one.
The sleepy guy seems to have quite exciting dreams, featuring chases, animals, and body parts. We love imagining what dream scenario brought about the exclamation, “No octopus you can’t do that!!”
Sometimes it takes your unconscious to speak the truth, as in this enlightened quote: “There’s never enough nacho cheese.” Too true, Sir Lord Dick Pat, we’re totally with you on that one.
The documenting girlfriend made a video where she interviews her boyfriend about his internet fame. He can’t be bothered to open his eyes, but his comment about his newfound stardom? “I don’t care.” We’re getting the idea that she’s more into this whole Sir Lord Dick Pat thing than he is. He looks like he just wants to go back to sleep.
We really can’t be held responsible for the content of our dreams, or whatever words from those dreams make it to our mouths. It doesn’t seem quite fair that this woman’s husband should become famous for something that he is not conscious of doing, but it sure is funny.
What’s the silliest thing you’ve ever heard from a sleeping companion? Would you ever share their innermost thoughts with the world if it were funny enough?
SHARE the love, pass it on.
